Remedy Tree is Florida's hard driving modern bluegrass band. Featuring lyric-driven songs, foot-stomping energy and heartwarming melodies, Remedy Tree blends their roots in old-time and folk music and traditional bluegrass creating a truly unique Americana experience.
Formed in 2015 by Gabriel Acevedo from Umatilla Florida, Remedy Tree in its infancy leaned heavily into folk and indie music, keeping a lot of old-time music influences. After adding a banjo player, the group started to trend towards bluegrass more and more , and started playing bluegrass festivals and events.
By 2020 Remedy Tree had its heart and soul intent towards the bluegrass dream. Remedy Tree has begun to carve their way into the scene, opening for some of the genres best such as The Steeldrivers, Rhonda Vincent, and Ricky Scaggs. One of the most prominent promoters in bluegrass music, Ernie Evans, said, “The future for this band will not look like anything you’ve seen to date because they are cutting their own path to success”. Orlando Weekly wrote: “They are a string band that manage sweet strolling folk songs and greased-lightning bluegrass burners with equal aplomb”. Remedy Tree currently consists of Gabriel Acevedo, (lead vocals, guitar, fiddle), Abigail Acevedo(Vocals, Bass), Nathan Beaumont(vocals, banjo, guitar,) Bryce Griffin(vocals, mandolin,).
In September 2023 Remedy Tree was an official showcase band at IBMA and released their single Don’t Look back.
